Lost an inch last week!

Another Monday, another post focusing on my week from a health and weight loss standpoint.

Well, it was a regular week and I did some things right and I did some things wrong, but overall I am pleased with the results.

While I didn’t lose any pounds on the scales, I did manage to lose 1/2 inch in my waist and another 1/2 inch in my highs.  Gasp – that was unexpected.  I did recheck the measurements, and indeed there was a 1/2 loss in both areas.

I am not sure if the inch I lost was due to the lemon/cucumber water I have been drinking or not.  I can’t think of anything else that I did differently this week.  So – I guess I will continue that, and see what other results I can come up with.

Here is last week’s post about the lemon/cucumber water .  You might want to try this too, and please let me know how it works for you.  If nothing else, it really helps keep you hydrated, and it tastes very refreshing.  You can add mint to it (I haven’t done that yet) and it would be even better.  🙂

  1. Ok so I started this last week but didn’t measure myself. So I got myself a measuring tape and wrote some numbers down yesterday. Next week I will be able to give an update. I exercise daily also so I’m sure it will be a combination when I look at the results.

    1. Yeah, way to go! You are ahead of me in the exercise department, but I have made up my mind that I am going to incorporate more exercise in my day, everyday if possible. I can’t wait to hear about your results! 🙂

    1. Like I said, I am not entirely convinced that it was the lemon/cucumber water. But I can’t think of anything else that I did differently last week. So I am giving it another shot this week to see what happens. Hope we BOTH have the same results! 🙂

    For me, exercise is the best way. i don’t necessarily loose pounds on the scale (at least I loose a lot more slowly) but I do notice a change in my mood and the way my clothes fit. Exercise is essential part of staying healthy. I think it’s very difficult to loose a bunch of weight and then maintain without exercise. our bodies were made to exercise.

    I’m not doing anything eating wise, but I am exercising a lot. It helps me feel better about myself. and exercises my muscles.

    1. Thank you so much for your comment, Lisa. I need to integrate more exercise into my routine; that’s been hard for me in the past. I can never seem to get motivated to continue exercising past the first few days. But I know it’s something I need to incorporate into my daily schedule ASAP. I am coming off a foot surgery, 6 weeks in a cast and 6 weeks of physical therapy, but now I am pretty much back to normal. It’s a matter of telling myself it’s OK to exercise and start getting active like I used to be. 🙂
